Pup Joints
Machined from seamless steel pipe to adjust string length or tool depth.
Pup joints, couplings and crossovers machined from seamless steel to adjust string length or join different sizes and connections.
Pup joints are used to adjust the height of tubing or casing strings, or the depth of downhole tools. They are machined from seamless steel pipe.
Couplings are short pieces of tubing or casing used to join strings together, available as tubing couplings and casing couplings in J55, K55, L80, N80 and P110. Tubing coupling ends can be EUE or NUE, and threads can be short, long or BTC. Tubing couplings range from 2⅜" to 4½"; casing couplings from 4½" to 20".
Crossovers join different sizes of tubing, casing or line pipe. A crossover is a one-piece tubular section used to join or change between two components of differing tube size or connection type — casing, tubing, drill pipe or a combination. API 5CT tubing crossovers are machined from high quality steel, with STC, LTC and BTC threads, EUE and NUE end connections, and steel grades J55, K55, L80, N80 and P110.
